William Shakespeare was the man in his day.
He was a poet, actor, and playwright.
Hamlet, Macbeth, Julius Caesar, and Twelfth Night,
were some of his plays.
These were performed at the Globe not Broadway.
William Shakespeare was more than bright,
his words, expressions, even today we recite.
Knock knock! Who’s there?
All that Glitters is not gold,
Dead as a doornail,
Melted into thin air,
William Shakespeare was certainly bold.
