One day me and my mom realized that our bananas were going bad but we didn't want to waste them. Instead of throwing them away we decided to make banana nut bread with chocolate chips. They tasted very good and the bread did not come out too gooey or banana-y! I hope that you like this recipe. I sure did! 1 1/4 cup of flour 1 teaspoon baking soda 1/2 teaspoon of salt 2 large eggs 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract 1/2 cup of butter 1 cup of sugar 3 ripe bananas, mashed with a fork 1/2 walnuts As many chocolate chips as you like! -preheat oven to 350 degrees F -lightly butter loaf pan -shift flour, baking soda and salt in medium bowl -whisk eggs and vanilla together in separate bowl -cream butter and sugar together with electric mixer -gradually pour egg mixture into the butter/sugar mixture -add bananas to mixture -incorporate flour -fold in the walnuts and chocolate chips -transfer batter to the pan -bake 55 minutes recipe adapted from foodnetwork.com By Taylor Hooks
