Halloween is one of my most favorite holidays. You get to put up all sorts of spooky decorations, wear amazing costumes, and collect tons of treats! But what is better than collecting treats? Making your own. So, today, here are some spook-tacular treats perfect for a frightful Halloween night.

First, we are going to be creating a cake based off of “The Nightmare Before Christmas”, a funny, spooky, and overall enjoyable film created by Tim Burton. This cake is the face of the main character, Jack Skellington, who stumbles upon a door leading to the Christmas realm and decides to bring Christmas and Halloween together.
I found this cake online, created by Sarah Westover McKenna.
For this cake, you are going to need:
Circular pans (3)
Vanilla cake mix (2)
White icing (2)
Orange food coloring dye
Black food coloring dye
Black decorative icing
And there you have it: a fabulous, and delicious, Jack Skellington cake!
Next, we are going to create some adorable monster cupcakes. These cupcakes are super fun to make and they are great with anyone starting out with decorative cupcakes.
I found these cupcakes online, created by Jodie and Jen.
For these cupcakes, you will need:
Cupcake pan
Chocolate cake mix (1)
Icing (2)
Purple food coloring
Green food coloring

Black cupcake liners (24)
Small candy eyeballs
Decorative icing tips
And there you go: twenty-four adorable monster cupcakes to share with your friends and family!
Finally, we will be creating bat cupcakes. These cupcakes are very fun to make, especially with all of the various decorations.
